Description:
PIC based ATARI ST/STE mouse port adapter.   Allows the use of a common (cheap) PS/2 mouse with your ATARI ST/STE computer.
Smaller than other ATARI mouse adapters allowing the adapter to fully fit under the computer without additional stress to the ATARI mouse port.
Important Note:
This adapter must be modified to fit Atari 520ST machines.  The original Atari 520ST machines without a built in floppy have the joystick/mouse ports on the right side of the computer.  The 9pin connectors used for the mouse and joystick are slightly recessed from the edge of the case.  While the adapter is small and fits extremely well when used with the Atari STF/STFM machines, when used with the 520ST the adapter makes contact with the case.  In order to use this adapter with an Atari 520ST the DB9 metal shield must be removed and a small section of the PCB must be trimmed.  Another alternative is to use the adapter with a common Atari joystick extension cable.  These cables can be purchased cheaply online.
Usage:
Plug adapter into Atari ST/STE mouse port.
Plug PS/2 mouse into adapter.
That's it.  It is that simple.
